Leamington, ON (Thursday, April 14th, 2022) – Highline Mushrooms, Canada’s top producer of mushrooms, is proud to announce that it won the award of Best New Product for its new saute kits at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s 2022 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Montreal. The award recognizes innovative new products across the industry, and the new sauté kit stood out due to the package design, convenience, and flavour.
Simple Sides is a meal kit that includes sliced fresh mushrooms with two alternatives of sauces, Herb & Garlic and Sesame & Ginger, and the side is ready within only six minutes. Trends indicate that consumers want to spend less time in the kitchen while having fresh and sustainable food that does not compromise flavour. That is why Highline Mushrooms is offering these innovative kits that meet the needs of the consumers that need fast and flavorful sides.

Preparing the sauté kit is simple – Add some olive oil and saute the sliced mushrooms in a hot pan for 5-6 min, stir with the sauce for a few seconds, and it’s done! The star of this saute kit is the white mushrooms, packed with more than 12 vitamins and high protein content. The side does not shy away from any diet – low-calorie, low sodium, fat-free, cholesterol-free, gluten-free – the possibilities are endless.
The Best New Product Award was one of five New Produce Showcase Award categories that also included Packaging Innovation, New Technology, Snackable Product and Organic Product. 68 products were featured this year, and winners were chosen by a panel of judges from across the industry.
