Employment

Highline is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment. Our policies and procedures are intended to support diversity, inclusiveness and accessibility, while ensuring the workplace is free from discrimination and harassment.

Training

Highline will provide training on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities to all our Ontario associates, volunteers and out of province associates as needed. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of all our associates.

Accessible Emergency Information

Emergency information is made publicly available to all customers and clients in an accessible way upon request. Employees with disabilities will also be provided with individualized emergency response information when necessary. This information will be posted in the following locations: website and reception.

Public Spaces

With any new construction or renovations Highline will meet the Accessibility standards for the Design of Public Spaces. Locations that have an interruption to that service or currently are not deemed accessible will have posted notices with alternative entrance information on: website and reception.

Please be advised our Head office location at 506 Mersea Road 5, Leamington Ontario, has steps with no ramp entrance available. If the main entrance is not accessible for you, an alternative entrance is available or we can arrange to serve you at the door. In order to ensure that Highline, its suppliers, and the agencies with whom Highline does business uphold our Core Values and adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in all business activities, Highline has implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility Standard (‘CSR’) which is comprised of an overarching CSR standard and policy statement, a CSR standard on human rights, modern slavery and human trafficking, and a CSR standard on ethical internal business practices.

In support of Highline’s commitment to corporate social responsibility across our business operations, Highline has also adopted a Dispute Resolution Policy and Procedure and a confidential, anonymous Ethics Hotline which may be used by all associates, regardless of role, location or status.

The CSR Standard applies to all associates employed by Highline Produce Limited, Highline Mushrooms West and subsidiary companies.
