Delicious char-grilled mushroom steak recipe with Highline Portabella Mushrooms, perfect for No-Meat-Monday and any meal. Veggie delight!

Ingredients:

16 oz Highline Mushrooms Portabella Caps, stems removed
4 tbsp soy sauce
5 ml liquid smoke
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garlic, minced
Feta cheese, crumbled for garnish
Green onions, sliced for garnish
Black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. To make marinade, combine soy sauce, liquid smoke, salt, olive oil and garlic in a large bowl. Add mushrooms and marinate for 20 minutes. Heat the grill to a medium heat, and brush lightly with olive oil.
  2. Grill mushrooms for 5 minutes on one side and 2 minutes on the other side while brushing them with the remaining marinade.
  3. Garnish with feta, green onions, and black pepper to taste before serving.
